Extremeños Creative Association invite you to the Third International Erotic Print Exchange “69”. This exchange is open to printmakers around the world with the purpose to promote printmaking, traditional techniques, exchanging prints between artists and create connection with artist around the world.
What is about this print exchange?
Every artist has to send to the association an edition of 15 original prints. Finished the dateline, a portfolio of 12 randomly selected prints will be mailed to each participant three months later to the finished date. We will keep 3 prints from each edition submitted to de exchange: 1 print will remain at Extremeños Creative Association, and two for traveling exhibitions and promotional proposes. In any case the association will never sell or get economic return from the prints.
Also each participant will receive a catalog that will collect all the works of the participants of this edition.
Theme.
As the name says we are looking for prints about eroticism and sensuality from every point of views: delicate or explicit, figurative or abstract, funny, sexy or pornography. Open to your own interpretation.
Media.
Any traditional Printmaking process: Relief, Linocut, Woodcut, Intaglio, Lithography, Serigraphy, Collograph, Photoengraving, Additive Techniques…
No digital prints, photocopies or monotypings.
Requirements:
- One edition per printmaker.
- Use only printmaking Paper or Hand made Paper Acid Free.
- Paper Size: 7,5 inches x 10,5 inches.
- Image size for the plate no more than 6 inches x 9 inches.
- Horizontal or vertical format.
- The 15 original prints include glassine sheets or tissue paper between each print, cut to match paper size.
- Each print must be Signed and Numbered in front side.
Timing and deadline
Call open from: May 27, 2019.
Email registration deadline: October 30, 2019. November 15, 2019.
Postal submissions deadline: November 15, 2019. November 30, 2019.
Participation
- The artist has to register in the exchange sending an email to acreaex@gmail.com with the issue: Registration 69.
- When the artist has ready the prints for sending, firstly has to pay the registration fee* via PayPal to Paypal.Me Account: acreaex@gmail.com – Jesús Mateos Brea (links below).- Registration from the European Union: 20€ Pay here in Paypal.Me

- If you register between October 30 and November 15 you must pay the fee when send the first email.
- The artist has to complete the submission form and must include the ID of the PayPal transaction. Download the Form.

Once the edition has been sent, send the organization an email with the postal tracking number so that the organization can track the status of the shipment.
The prints has to be sending properly, in such a way as to maintain its security and integrity. The association doesn’t be responsible for damages, losses, customs costs or another problem related to the sending.
To avoid possible customs costs or retentions mark the shipment as: «Content without commercial value».
*This fee covers the costs of postage and promotion of the project and Exhibits. Fee is non- refundable.
**The participants that belong to an artist group, printmaking workshop, academy, school… if you want, can send all the editions together. In this case, you only have to send an email to acreaex@gmail.com informing about it.
Promotion
Firstly the received prints will be shown in the BelleArtes gallery of Cáceres and after this it will be organized several travelling exhibitions.
It will be edited a catalogue with all the received prints submitted and their authors and also, all of them will be published in our web gallery.
Important
All prints must conform to the guidelines, any prints that do not fit the guidelines will be returned to the artist and the fee is not refundable.
The portfolio of 12 randomly selected will be made from management software.
The exchange participation implies to accept that guidelines however, any other problem that we don’t reference here, it would be resolve for the association.
